  After being promised that the langside cafe does the best icecream in the southside, I thought I should check it out just to make sure my friend wasn't a liar. So this was a purely factfinding mission and nothing to do with the fact I wanted icecream because it was sunny.
  
  They look like they make it in the cafe (big plus), and while I didn't sit in, there was seating outside and old fashioned booths inside which looked like cafes I would visit with my aunt when I was wee.
  
  There were two boys in front of me, one asked the owner how many lemon drops he could get for 50p. Without missing a beat, the owner replied "50ps worth" and started laughing and said he couldn't help himself. So friendly staff with a side of bad jokes- another plus!
  
  What about the icecream? Amazing! I had a single nougat ("it's not married yet" said the owner) and it was great.
